The Ultimate Solo Travel Woman Experience in Prague
Prague is to this day, one of the most magical places I have ever traveled to. As the “city of a hundred spires”, the architecture alone will leave you breathless. My time in Prague was so memorable that I knew I had to share The Ultimate Solo Travel Woman Experience in Prague with you.
THINGS TO DO AND SEE
The Old Town Square
Now I typically steer clear of busy city centers but, Prague’s old town square is different. No matter where you are coming from, every road seems to lead you right to this lively and inviting center. With no cars allowed, the streets are filled with pedestrians, street performers, restaurant patrons, shops, and more. One of the main attractions in the square is the astronomical clock on the Old Town Hall. At the top of the hour, you will see dozens of visitors waiting to get a glimpse of the show. The puppets, which represent the 12 apostles, show off in a procession. It’s pretty cool, don’t get me wrong but, to me it was a bit under whelming.
Charles Bridge
Built in 1357, Charles Bridge is one of the most famous landmarks in Prague. If you want to have less crowds, visit the bridge at sunrise. If you go during the day, expect not only crowds of people but, loads of street vendors.

Stroll Along the River
Sometimes you just need to take a stroll to discover the best parts of a city. Before heading the Prague Castle, stroll along the Vltava River. If you do, you will surely see some unique and interesting sites such as: the narrowest street in Prague, John Lennon’s Wall, the odd but, cool statue of two men peeing, and some ugly babies.
Fun fact: Proudly, the controversial statue by David Cerny, allows you to text quotes or messages to this number (+420 724 370 770) and the statue will pee out your message.
John Lennon
Created in the 1980s, the John Lennon wall has been a site for John Lennon-inspired graffiti, lyrics from Beatles’ songs, and designs relating to local and global causes ever since. I was even lucky enough to write a tribute to my passed father on this wall. Definitely a unique must see if in Prague.
People Watch on Petrin Hill
Ready to escape the noise and crowds of the city, enjoy some solace on Petrin Hill. It is a climb to get to it so, wear comfortable walking shoes.
Sex Machines Museum
If you are like me, you like the weird, unique and historic parts of exploring. I welcome you to the Sex Machines Museum. Yes, you heard right. It the only museum in the world dedicated to a collection of ancient and modern sex devices. Don’t forget to visit the gift shop.
Museum of Communism
A classic attraction, if you like history you must visit this incredible museum. It is dedicated to presenting an account of the post–World War II Communist regime in Czechoslovakia in general and Prague in particular. It does a wonderful job of showing the realities of Communism and it’s evils.
