The Solo Travel Woman Society is an exclusive community of women who have a passion for solo travel and strive to explore different destinations, experience new cultures, and create life-long memories. It is a place where women can gain access to important travel resources, find inspiration and connect with a network of like-minded women.

The Solo Travel Woman Society getaway is an annual members-only trip for up to 35 people. Join your fellow empowered women as we travel to destinations all over the world and create life-long friendships. The locations, activities, and hotels we will travel to are carefully selected to inspire you with their history, natural beauty, and uniqueness, so your travel experience can be exciting, rewarding, and fun.

Solo Travel Woman Society Getaway Announcement

Join your fellow society members on an in-depth Morocco trip featuring all the exciting sights, sounds, and flavors befitting of its status as the gateway to Africa. Explore the ancient alleyways of Fes, spend the evening like a local in a riad, and learn about the healing touch of Moroccan ingredients like argan oil.

Based on a minimum of 8 travelers to a maximum of 37. If the minimum is not met, the trip will be canceled.

Please note that if you have booked the “My Own Room” option for this tour, you will receive your own single accommodation for all night stops, with the following exceptions: Night 10, simple mountain gite.

Cancellation Policy 
* Cancellation 60 days or more prior to departure = Loss of deposit 
* Cancellation between 30 and 59 days prior to departure = 50% loss 
* Cancellation within 30 days of departure = 100% loss 

It is mandatory for all of our travellers to have Emergency Medical insurance that covers for both emergency evacuation and repatriation to the sum of $200,000 USD we also strongly recommend purchasing an all inclusive plan that covers cancellation/interruption insurance as well. I am able to send a quote over on request.

Itinerary

Day 1 Casablanca

Arrive at any time.

Enjoy an included welcome dinner.

Day 2 Casablanca/Chefchaouen

Stop in Tangier for a guided tour of the medina before continuing on to Chefchaouen for the evening.

Accommodation: Hotel Madrid (or similar)

Day 3 Chefchaouen

Enjoy a free day in Chefchaouen to explore. The city, whitewashed in different shades of blue, is spectacular on its own but with the surrounding mountains, it’s a sight to behold. At sunset, opt to visit the Spanish Mosque for a stunning panoramic view of the city.

Day 4 Chefchaouen/Fès

Enjoy a traditional lunch before taking a guided tour of the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Continue on to Fès.

Day 5 Fès

Explore the labyrinth of streets within the famous Fès medina with a local guide. Take in a view of one of the ancient tanneries from above and marvel at the myriad of colour and processes.

Day 6 Fès/Merzouga

Enjoy a long, but beautiful, travel day across the unique landscapes of Morocco to get to the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert.

Meals included: Breakfast | Dinner

Accommodation: Auberge Les Dunes D´Or (or similar)

Day 7 Merzouga

Explore the sand dunes by foot or opt to take a 4×4 excursion around the dunes. In the late afternoon, enjoy a camel ride to watch the sunset before returning to your hotel for an evening of entertainment.

Accommodation: Auberge Les Dunes D´Or (or similar)

Day 8 Merzouga/Todra Gorge

Rise early to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, continue through a stone desert to the stunning Todra Gorge. Wedged between massive cliff walls, the gorge is filled with a green oasis of palm trees. This serene spot is great for hiking, relaxing on the edge of the river or sampling some local Amazigh delicacies.

Day 9 Todra Gorge/Aït Ben Haddou

Visit the Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Opt to participate in a tagine cooking class for an intro to Moroccan cuisine.

Accommodation: La Rose du Sable (or similar)

Day 10 Ait Benhaddou / High Atlas Mountains

Enjoy a hike to the village of Aroumd (Aremd), at the base of the High Atlas Mountains. Let a mule carry the bags up to this mountain hideaway and hike alongside. Enjoy views of Mt Toubkal from the mountain gîte before a home-cooked dinner.

Exclusive Inclusions: Your Local Living Moment Mountain Gîte Stay with Traditional Moroccan Meal

After a short hike uphill, arrive at a cozy mountain gîte where we will spend the night. Breath in fresh mountain air while taking in amazing views of the surrounding Atlas Mountains before sitting down to a traditional, homemade dinner made with local produce.

Day 11 High Atlas Mountains / Essaouira

Hike back to Imlil and transfer to the coastal town of Essaouira. The day is free for exploration.

Day 12 Essaouira

Enjoy a free day exploring this coastal port town any way you like.

Meals included: Breakfast

Day 13 Essaouira / Marrakech

Drive to Marrakech for a medina tour with a local guide. Opt to visit Djemaa el Fna Square in the evening to see the gathering of musicians and street performers.

Day 14 Marrakech

Enjoy a final free day to explore.
